Estelle Lhoest

Estelle, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, former nutrition assistant at the University of Liège, author and co-author of some 10 academic articles, a qualified nutritionist, phytotherapist and aromatherapist, Miloa founder and president.

Since I was very young, I’ve always taken care of injured feathered and furry friends, so it was only natural that I should become a vet.

I grew up surrounded by animals and plants and I simply can’t get enough of them.

How can you fail to admire Ginkgo, which grew back the year after the atomic bomb explosion in Hiroshima, or poppies, which give us morphine ?

Plants are so remarkable. They are fixed to the spot, so they must source their survival resources from within. Since 2006 I’ve been analysing their defence strategies and studying their many properties. Working with researchers from all over the world, we are developing unique innovative solutions to keep your pets in good health and help them live longer. Miloa is my way of thanking, every day, my friends with feathers, fur, scales, two legs, four legs or no legs at all, for all the love and the lessons they have been giving me for more than 40 years !

I’ve always been an animal lover so my dream job was to work with them. That’s why I became a veterinary assistant more than 10 years ago. Being the link between the vet and the client (and their pet) is an incredible opportunity and I like to think my approach is sensitive and professional. I heard about Miloa while working as an assistant a few years ago. I regularly use their products in the veterinary practice where I now work, but I also use them with my own pets. Nowadays, I’m very proud and happy to be able to represent Miloa. We all want the best for our four-legged friends and Miloa offers natural, healthy solutions with quality guaranteed.

I’m passionate about nature and animals, so becoming a vet was the obvious choice for me. After studying veterinary medicine at Namur and Liège for six years, with a little detour to Spain in between, I finally qualified in 2015. That was the start of a fascinating and sometimes unpredictable journey! With a wide range of experience under my belt, I came to the conclusion that we need to pay more attention to Mother Nature in our daily working lives: not just the riches she offers us, but also the respect we owe her. After all, don’t they say that nature is the source of all remedies? So I turned to Miloa and its natural yet effective solutions. I wanted to play my part in the Miloa story by helping my colleagues find out more about these products and their uses. That’s why I’ve joined the team as a consultant vet, while continuing to take care of our four-legged friends, who give so much back to us.

When I graduated from Liège University in 2013, I worked with small animals. During this early part of my career I discovered that conventional therapies are not always the best way to improve the health of our pets and are even less effective in preventing certain diseases. At Miloa I have found exceptional competence and enthusiasm combined with excellent, really interesting scientific and personal development training. I divide my time between medical practice and Miloa. I combine veterinary medicine with providing my colleagues with the knowledge and training they need to make best use of phytotherapy. Nature has so much to give so why not learn to use it?

As an administrative assistant, I’m the go-to person for all sorts of bumps and scratches. I am the link between Miloa and the outside world and also the point of contact for all the employees. I’m in my element when I’m helping others. With my furry friends and reptiles often sharing my office, it can sometimes look like a menagerie! It is me and my sunny disposition that help ensure that Miloa runs smoothly.

During my career I’ve gained valuable experience in science (design engineer) and sales, and also interpersonal skills (project manager). I joined Miloa in 2015 because I shared its quest for excellence and performance. Miloa is the leader in its field and is committed to developing innovations and excellent products and services. I myself have two dogs and a tomcat at home so I fully understand the need for a range of innovative, natural products to keep them happy and healthy. I love being part of such a dynamic team – they’re always ready to listen and advise to ensure that the needs of vets and their patients are met in the best possible way.

I’ve loved animals all my life and started off my career working as a veterinary assistant, before becoming a veterinary rep for a large French laboratory. After a change of scenery for a few years, still in sales but in a very different field, I’ve now returned to the veterinary sector. I’m delighted to be able to offer my skills to an organisation as dynamic and innovative as Miloa, in the knowledge that we are all working together – the lab team, vets and owners – to improve the well-being of our beloved pets.

I’ve worked in sales in different sectors for several years now. I heard about Miloa by word of mouth. I’ve always had a particular affinity with natural medicine and especially natural medicine for animals. I was immediately impressed by the ethics of this laboratory and the range it offers, so it was only natural that I should join the Miloa team.

After 10 years in the animal health pharmaceutical industry. I decided to move to a laboratory that was more in line with my values and beliefs. Miloa is just such a laboratory, in terms of its ethics and treatments, so I was naturally absolutely delighted to join the team in early 2018.
