Anti-Ageing  tm

When our pets age, their central nervous system displays a loss of neurons, brain atrophy and a calcification of the meninges (Head, 2001 ; Roudebush & al, 2005). Most of the atrophy occurs in the cortex. There is a correlation between cortical atrophy and cognitive problems (Rofina & al, 2006) in both humans and dogs (Du & al, 2005 ; Ezekiel & al, 2004). Deposits of platelets of amyloid-beta peptides are also observed. These deposits increase with age and are linked to the severity of the cognitive deficiency (Colle & al, 2000). These amyloid-beta platelets are neurotoxic and compromise normal neuron function. There are also a great many vascular and peri-vascular changes. These can restrict blood flow and the supply of essential nutrients (Gerlach & al, 1994 ; Araujo & al, 2002). As the brain ages, it is less able to fight oxidative stress, a cause of neuron malfunction (Kiaipattanasakul & al, 1997 ; Head & al, 2002). All these tissue changes explain the decline of cognitive function, disorientation, memory loss, disturbance of the day/night cycles and withdrawal.

Asterix is a Labrador, nearly 14 years old, and has been taking Anti-Ageing TM daily for a year. This treatment was prescribed because he was feeling out of sorts and had no appetite. Since he started on Anti-Ageing TM, his owner feels he has been livelier and more alert for a dog of his age and he has regained his appetite.

Buzz is 13 and last Christmas he had symptoms suggesting either a stroke or a brain tumour. He was disoriented and generally listless. He’s been taking two of the round grey Anti-Ageing TM tablets every day for the past three months and is livelier these days. I ran out of them for a week and really noticed a difference, in that he was disoriented and sluggish. Dr Boulay at the veterinary clinic in Belleville-sur-Saône advised me that he should continue the treatment for the rest of his life.
