The intestine is part of the digestive tract. It plays a key role in the digestion and absorption of nutrients. It comprises two parts: the small intestine and the large intestine. Nutrients pass through the intestine on their way to the blood and the rest of the body. The mucous membrane of the small intestine is covered in folds and villi to increase its surface area and allow for a large number of exchanges with the circulatory system. It forms a barrier to prevent pathogens entering. Its lumen contains microbiota, which is made up of bacteria and other micro-organisms. The lymphoid tissue associated with the digestive tract is the main immune system support. It protects the body from invasions and is also where the B and T lymphocytes are stored.
Bacteria in the large intestine break down the molecules that cannot be absorbed in the small intestine, fibre for instance. The large intestine is also where vitamins B and K are synthesised.

USE

Montmorillonite clay has a high absorption capacity for liquids. Sodium chloride compensates for electrolyte loss caused by digestive disorders. Digest Regul™ can be used to regulate the digestive function and during recovery from digestive problems.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

For dogs and cats < 10 kg:1/2 tab 2x/d
Dogs between 10 and 20 kg: 1 tab 2x/d
Dogs between 20 and 30 kg:2 tab 2x/d
Dogs > 30 kg:3 tab 2x/d

The above quantities can vary according to your pet’s needs. Use for as long as necessary. The tablets are extremely palatable. Most cats and dogs will swallow them without fuss, but they can also be crushed and mixed with food.

STORAGE

Store in a cool (< 25 °C) and dry place in original packaging. Keep away from the sun light. Close tightly after opening. Keep out of reach of children. Best before 24 months after the date of manufacture. Batch number and date of manufacture: see packaging.
